Buying watches onboard

We did a lot better a few years ago with Joe's Jewelry in St. Martin. Priced the ship and did better but you have to dicker with them. There not part of the cruise ship stores but have bought a few things from them over the years and always done good.

So you don't think watches made exclusively for Princess don't exist. It wouldn't surprise me at all.

The watches on board all seemed to be grossly over-priced, why bother.

 

 

Some people have alot of OBC to spend so they don't have to spend their cash.

Because when one looks at them they are through "cruise colored glasses". ;)

 

That probably explains a lot of other purchases made on board. :D

I know it was the auto - correct that was to blame, but 'dicker' is a great word!

I'm in the market for a new watch - after checking the options on-board and factoring in the additional 10% elite discount (provided I can combine it with the 10% off on the first day), figure I'll log-in and compare with prices at Macy's or Amazon to see if it's actually an acceptible deal. Here's hoping!

There was last year (still is) the princess 50th anniversary watch.

 

Seems pretty likely that it was made for princess.

Yes, I agree that watch was no doubt made for Princess...who else would carry a watch with a Princess logo. Some products are simply made of inferior materials for outlets, Costco, BJ's, etc.. A family friend is a clothing manufacturer and has enlightened me on this.

I am another who has bought 2 Citizen echo drive watches onboard - and they were great buys. Just do the research first.

Last year I forgot to bring along a casual watch for in ports. Didn't want to wear my dress watch. Bought one of a wide variety of Casio watches., a G-shock, I think. A little less than in stores.
