Lions123 Posted March 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2016 Hi All, Need this answered for my wife, I am sure I read somewhere that Hair straightener's are not permitted on Princess cruise ships can anyone help me out please?
fishywood Posted March 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2016 (edited) The list of prohibited items in the Princess online FAQs or in the Passage Contract (including the Australian version) does not mention any hair appliances. In fact at the muster drill/safety lecture you are told that you may use any heating-element electrical appliance in your cabin as long as it has auto shut-off. So unless you have heard recent reports of Princess deviating from this and confiscating hair straighteners when embarking in Australia, your wife is fine bringing one. Perhaps you should also ask this on the Australia & New Zealand Cruisers board. Edited March 13, 2016 by fishywood
Lions123 Posted March 13, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted March 13, 2016 Thanks very much for that info, I have checked the Princess FAQ and did not see it on the list but, its better to ask than get stopped from boarding Thank you and all the best

Most items on the prohibited list would just be confiscated and returned at the end of the cruise.
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 14, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2016 The best place to ask this to be 100% sure if the Princess Board. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=197 So I would post over there. I believe (but still want you to post there) that it is OK to bring this item. Keith
