Mrs.C05 Posted March 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2016 I will start uploading pictures tonight, for my review on the NCL spirit. From the other reviews I have read of other NCL ships, this one is definitely a different flare than the rest. Asian theme all the way. The room we stayed in was a suite, room # 10500. There were 3 standard US plugs, one by the foyer, and 2 in the bathroom. The hairdryer there is the European one, but I took my own since we had bought a converter to use in the room. If anyone has any questions, please ask and I'll do my best to answer. I'll get started tonight hopefully on the review!

There was also a hostess named Karen that was really nice and loved my DS.

Mrs.C05 Posted March 15, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted March 15, 2016 Originally we had booked a balcony room for the 3 of us, Tommy, Kimberly and Ethan, on Norwegian Spirit in a balcony, back in March 2015 or so. This would fall on Ethan’s 4th birthday too. It included the ultimate beverage package for free, no service charge added to the booking. The cruise finally arrived, and it is ironic how work gets so busy and crazy before your vacation starts, and you’re more than ready for the cruise. Friday night arrives and we pack, which stresses me out but once we’re done, I can lay my head down and become giddy and excited for the cruise. Ethan stayed the night with the grandparents beforehand and we pick him up on Saturday morning around 10am. We drive to the coast without problem and park at "Park Port Canaveral" which is part of the Radisson hotel across the street, and is off sight parking. We get to the new terminal and check in is a breeze. We get to the desk to check in, and they cannot find our cards. I think to myself "What is going on!?!?! We booked this over a year ago!?! Why can't they find our cards??!?!?! The lady asks us to follow her, and she asks another lady if she has the cards, and she does so we’re escorted to the VIP area. What??? What is going on? I’m so confused!! I look back at Tommy and he’s got a sly grin on his face. The VIP lady is talking about the butler taking our luggage for us, meeting concierge at the Cagney’s lounge, etc. I look at her in confusion and we’re whisked off by the butler on to the ship. Tommy starts telling me that he booked this suite about 2 week ago. We get on the boat and are taken to Cagney’s to speak with the concierge, have lunch and make our dinner reservations. While there Tommy tells me that all “this” is free, including the ultimate dining package and we got $200 onboard credit when booking the suite. We ordered lunch which was macaroni & cheese for Ethan, tomato mozzarella arugula bruchetta for myself, and Tommy got the cheeseburger and fries. I order a bud light too. For dessert, Tommy and I get the banana cream pie and Ethan has vanilla ice cream and a brownie. Once we were done, we headed to the room.
Mrs.C05 Posted March 15, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted March 15, 2016 Suite 10500 is Hong Kong, and has a door bell. It’s pretty nice! You walk into a foyer, and there is a table with 4 chairs, a “bar” area with a coffee maker and mini fridge underneath, a coffee table, couch, 2 end tables, and a chair. In front of the coffee table is TV stand with 4 drawers, and behind the chair is the balcony window. To the left of the TV is the door to go out to the forward balcony. There is a storm door between the room door and getting onto the balcony.
Mrs.C05 Posted March 15, 2016 Author #12 Share Posted March 15, 2016 So my last photo will not upload. If you're in the doorway of the balcony looking out, on your right is a lounge chair to lay out on if you want. I cannot get this photo to upload for some reason. Mrs.C05 Posted March 15, 2016 Author #14 Share Posted March 15, 2016 The butler, Teodoro, explained the machine and it pretty much worked just like a keurig machine. You open a tray, put your pod in (upside down though) close it up and push a button. I tried it Sunday morning, but did not like the taste of it. I ended up going to The Cafe down on Deck 7 each morning on our way to breakfast to get Iced Mocha's. Those were $4.07 each.

Mrs.C05 Posted March 15, 2016 Author #17 Share Posted March 15, 2016 Here is the European box styled hairdryer which was pretty much useless. And what is circled in red are 2 US standard outlets. The hairdryer had an outlet on it for shavers only. The vanity area had a European outlet at it. There was also an outlet near the foyer where the phone was (shelves for this was to the right of the foyer, by the dining table.
vicocala Posted March 15, 2016 #18 Share Posted March 15, 2016 Thanks for the review and the photos! We are leaving on her on Saturday and we started out with a balcony as well. I got us moved up to a Penthouse Suite just a week or two ago. Without giving away to much, to soon, did you use the butler for in-suite dining, and/or including from the specialty restaurants? If you remember or have them can you share what your daily treats were?
Rare Ilikebigboats Posted March 15, 2016 #19 Share Posted March 15, 2016 Enjoying your review! We have a balcony booked for our upcoming trip this summer, would love to book a suite but the price is very steep on the Spirit. Look forward to more of your great pictures.:)

NJLVW Posted March 15, 2016 #21 Share Posted March 15, 2016 These pictures are fantastic. This is the first time I have seen updated pictures of the Spirit suites. Most of what you find is from some time ago. Thank you again. Also did you happen to notice if they have the "new" "new" menus? I know they went to alacarte by using what was the menu with pricing added. I am most interested to know if Cagney's added the crab cakes, lobster bisque and the surf & turf back on the menu. Thank you again so much for doing this review.

Mrs.C05 Posted March 15, 2016 Author #23 Share Posted March 15, 2016 Thanks for the review and the photos! We did order breakfast a few times to have in the room, we ordered room service for lunch and dinner too once or twice. FYI, their ice cream is so delicious! I don't know if the room service menu is different for suites, but if you can order ice cream, you must try it. We didn't discover it until the last day of the cruise. Which was probably a good thing:rolleyes: As for the daily treats, I have pictures of those, so that will be coming up too. Will follow this thread. Thank you. Keith Thanks! I hope you enjoy the review.
Mrs.C05 Posted March 15, 2016 Author #24 Share Posted March 15, 2016 We chill in the room for a while, unpacking our bags and such. Our butler Teodoro introduces himself who is very nice. We go up for muster drill at 3pm, and it’s over by 4pm. Easy peasy! Once muster drill is over, we head up to deck 9 for a drink, and then deck 12 for sailaway. Tommy planned on golfing here, just to say he did, but didn't get to it. He wanted to do it while in port so the boat wasn't moving while he was hitting, but we simply forgot to.
