Did you purchase the internet package? Can you use your phone for text with it? Where do you buy it? Can you purchase before boarding? Thanks!

You can purchase the internet either pre-cruise using your Cruise Planner, or onboard. If onboard, you just use your own wireless device to connect to the Royal WiFi service and you will be prompted for info on how to sign up.

By doing it this way onboard, will the C&A discount automatically be applied? Or, do I need to go to Customer Service for that? Thanks in advance.

As Donna said, it should be automatic.

 

Every once in a while, I'll get a message to the effect that the system could not access my C&A information and to sign up anyhow and Guest Services would apply the discount. If this happens to you, I would advise you to wait an hour or two and try again. Every time I have tried to have Guest Services fix the internet discount, it has taken the GS rep a long time to fix it.

I've had the opposite experience. The 2 or 3 times the discount didn't work, the GS person fixed it and let me sign up for a package that was worth $5-10 more than the discount. I'm almost disappointed when the discount works on the first try :P

We have been to both. They are different to be sure. Depends what you are looking for. We were in Chic last night. I had the chicken marsala. Okay, night great. Desserts are nothing to right home about. Grande is the best. If you want to spend extra, Chops is outstanding.

Did you have any problem booking either the North Star or Rip Cord by Fly? RCI is not allowing reservation online for the May 14th cruise, but those are two new features I would like to try on this great ship. Staying on deck 11244. Also am flying into EWR on Friday and staying at the Newark Airport Marriott right on the property. Have not been able to tie down a way or cost to get to the dock and back yet. Otherwise really looking forward to Bermuda! Coming up from Florida but was born in Philadelphia. Enjoy the rest of your Trip:)

That's interesting - I'm also on the May 14th Anthem trip and I was able to reserve both. Just looked at my booking and see iFly available to reserve (under Activities; although I admit I didn't try since I already have a resi), but not North Star. I will say that when I reserved North Star, it was only showing port days and nothing on sea days. I'm sure somebody who has actually been on the ship will respond (!), but I understand that it likely won't be an issue. I plan on running to North Star almost as soon as I get on the ship!

We were able to book both right after we boarded using the iPads located in the Customer Service area. There were plenty of time slots available around noon, so obviously, the earlier you board, the better your chances of getting a reservation are.

Join your Roll Call. Maybe someone there will be willing to share a cab or private car to the pier.

Can I share the 2 device package with another person?

 

Does wifi work in the cabins on Anthem? Would we then be able to stream movies in our room on our tablets?
