I think you can board as soon as 10:30, but that depends upon how quickly the ship is inspected and people get off, so YMMV.

 

Rooms are usually available by 1pm.

Check-in typically starts at 11:30 AM [i've never seen it earlier than 11:15]...

 

I'm sailing Eclipse out of Miami this Sunday and, last Friday, got an advisory e-mail [and identical text] from Celebrity with a warning about traffic in Miami this weekend related to a music festival at Bayfront Park [should not impact traffic in Fort Lauderdale--I live nearby--if you're boarding this weekend]... Following--standard as to check-in--is excerpted from that notification...

 

"Your check-in window is between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The ship’s 4:30 p.m. departure will not be delayed due to traffic. As a reminder, all guests must be checked in and onboard the ship 60 minutes prior to sail time."

 

Cabins are generally available for guest access between 1:00 and 1:30 PM...

The question is do you really want to be first on board and have a long line - arriving about 10ish and boarding possibly as early as 11 - or do you want short lines and board around noon or a bit later. As the previous poster stated do not be late.

If you don't have the beverage package and want to bring on board 2 bottles of wine, be aware the wine stores don't open until Noon on Sundays.

We too recieved the email warning us of the MusicFest this weekend. There were Seven or Eight Ships in FLL this past Sunday. Traffic was lined up waiting to get through the security gates. Our cabins were ready about 130pm

Get to the port at 10:30. There will be some lines, but you'll be in the front 100 or 200 and you'll be onboard before you know it.

 

That gives you time to relax, eat, have a drink, and explore the ship before rooms are ready around 1 or 1:30!
