DTW Cruiser Posted March 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Belize is a tender port. When you exit your tender, you'll be along a dock with shops and lots of bars and restaurants. Many have free wifi and all have beautiful water views! You can't go wrong with any of them! Enjoy!
Rare crewsweeper Posted March 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 28, 2016 The Wet Lizard at the port. Popular for conch fritters and meat pies. Sit upstairs inside or out or under the "Tent" along the pier. Smokey Mermaid a short walk out the Terminal 4 gate, turn right along the promenade. Across from the Radisson Hotel. Chicken dishes and their banan chiminchanga. Or Turn left out of the Terminal walk about 5 short blocks up Front Street to the swing bridge that crosses the creek on your left. Turn left, cross the bridge and bear left along the street closest to the water(Regent's) to Bird's Isle. Nice view. Good menu with lots of selections. Or don't cross the swing bridge but instead turn to your right off Front Street onto Queen Street and go 2 blocks to Nerie's a fantastic local spot in a light green building. Fish and curries are excellent. Great friendly service. For a local Belize spot, on your way to the swing bridge you'll come to the Brown Sugar Market Place where the ferry terminal is and you'll find Anna's lunchbox. It's a relatively new location for them but in their old place they had good local dishes.
