Some other improvements I noticed: All new furniture in casino. No more stale smoky smell! New tile work on exterior pool and hot tub surfaces. Solarium looked top to bottom new with nice new furniture.

No more metal baskets in buffet. I did feel as though the buffet workers underwent new customer service training as they were the most friendly staff I've ever encountered in the Oceanview. As always the Indian food was my favorite but I also enjoyed omelets each morning with much shorter lines.

Luminae was a disappointment for us. We were not impressed with the food at all and actually missed the MDR at times. They are understaffed so service is spotty. The chairs have low backs meaning you can't recline at all. The presentation of the food and the place settings were the only highlights for us. The sommelier was excellent as well.

Thank you for that. I knew they'd be renovating much more than the few items they mentioned when previously describing the work in the media. Good to hear about what's been done!

We were on that sailing also in a Sky Suite. I totally agree with the comments about the Tuscan Grille. The Filet Mignon was absolutely delicious, and it was a beautiful restaurant. The menu was different than other Tuscan Grille menus I was told. Their homemade pastas still need some work, however. We enjoyed Luminae, and it was quite hectic. Marija, the hostess, told us that this is the most people they have ever had in Luminae in many a cruise, so the service was sometimes frantic, but the servers there were so nice, and very upbeat. We also were invited and attended the "Taste of Film" event they staged at the rooftop movie. This was a test run for what they hope to do in the near future- they have 4 movies that they have paired food with- 7 courses of small bites, along with wine, champagne and beer for an upcharge. They did not charge us, but we were told that they plan on charging from $50- $75 pp for this experience, which IMO is absolutely too much, and I told them so. While the experience was fun, we didn't eat dinner before we went, and wished we would have. There is not enough food served to justify that cost, and not a full bar, either.

Thank you for your live report. I am also interested in hearing about the movie screen area if you went/are going there. Do you have to use wireless headsets to hear the movie or is the sound loud enough to hear without headsets? Any complaints about noise from those in the aft A1 Aqua Class cabins below the movie screen area or in the aft Oceanview Bar area? Is there a lot of foot traffic there?

We were on the March 19 and 26th sailings. When we were sitting at the Sunset bar eating breakfast one morning and we could clearly hear what was being played on the screen (not a movie, just some of their programming like on the TVs), so I'm sure the people in the A1s could hear it from their balconies. We went up one night and watch some of By the Sea (i think? Brad Pitt and Angelina), at the same time a duo was singing at the sunset bar and I couldn't hear the singers at all and had no issue hearing the movie. The worst part was the random people walking up and talking every now and then as they walked past (which may happen less once everyone has seen it, I think a lot of people were just walking up to see it, not to actually watch the movie - and there were a lot of kids on the March 26 sailings so at times groups of kids went running and yelling by - no intention of watching the movie).

The price range you were quoted is laughable. Didn't Celebrity just roll out a press release about this concept with a $10 or $20 price point?

Can I ask which movie you watched and what was served during the filming? Was there lots of talking as servers explained what was being served each time a new dish was presented?

The movie was "The 100 Foot Journey," about an Indian immigrant family that opened an Indian restaurant across the street from a fancy French restaurant in France. The servers were very discrete. The dishes were tasty, but too small. We had to head to the pizza station in the Oceanview Cafe since we were still hungry after 7 courses. But it was fun and the movie was cute. I give X credit for trying something different.

Maybe, and this is just a wild guess, the $50-$75 pp charge was for all 4 movies? For $50 I could get 4 movies from Redbox, and a whole lot of take out!

The Lawn Garden would have been much more appropriate than the darn movies. Too disruptive as the ship was not initially designed for it. I will be very pissed off if it prevents me from sleeping at night.

Greetings all.

I just called my TA and booked the Summit to Bermuda.

Glad I found this thread.

Just curious, if someone could provide some drink prices, as I have searched and searched, but could not find specific prices or up to date menus.

What does a Coors Light beer cost? Also, 12 or 16 ounces. How about a gin and tonic.

The planning has begun.

We love the lawn grill on the Silhouette and Reflection. Would have loved that addition to the ship! Is it too late for you to change you stateroom to another location to avoid any problem sleeping at night? I was recently under the oceanview café on the Reflection and it was very noisy until about 11:30 PM Never again- Cabins above and below for me.
