Just got the Upgrade Sell Call!!

We sail on the Miracle this Saturday, only 4 days away and I just got the upsell call to an Ocean Suite. We were originally booked in an extended balcony cabin on deck 7 and upgraded to an Ocean Suite on deck 6.

 

They only had 2 suites left and the price difference for myself and boyfriend wound up being just a little over $300 total. I'm so excited! Bigger room, whirlpool tub, bigger balcony and priority check-in. Woo Hoo!!!

 

I only booked our cruise 3 weeks ago. It was a last minute decision to take this vacation (we sailed on the Dream in November) and I was excited before, now I'm super excited! Can't wait for some Cabo sun, wonderful Carnival service and some real relaxation. :D:)

We got an upsell call on our November Dream cruise as well. However, I did not bother to return the call because we had the exact room we wanted, a balcony on the Lido deck and it was perfect for us!

 

The Miracle does not have rooms on the Lido so it didn't really matter where we were. So when I got the call and heard that the upcharge wasn't too bad in my mind, I figured "why not?".

 

Can't wait, 4 days and counting!

Wow, I've had plenty of upsell calls over the years, but never one this far in advance--like 8 months out!?! That must be unprecedented. Carnival seems to be doing everything different this year.

Unless I'm reading incorrectly, their cruise is 4 days away. Where did 8 months come from?

I am hopeful for an upsell. I cruise on the Valor on Saturday. We usually have a balcony but booked an oceanview. I would love to have a suite call.

Take good care of the Valor for us we sail April 16th. And couple weeks ago we got the upgrade call to a ocean suite

Congratulations! It sound like you got a great opportunity. It's been several years since we had an upgrade call. My wife made the reservation directly online at the Carnival website.

 

Happy cruising. It's a great way to explore the world!

You mean "PVP"? Yes, continue to use your PVP. You will get upsell calls the same as if you book using the 800 number as you are still booking directly through Carnival. It's nice to have one person to talk to vs the luck of the draw that happen to answer the phone. I have gotten some real doozies! Hopefully you have a good PVP. If so, stick with them.

The upgrade call we got for our November Cruise was for last November 2015. Sorry about that, I probably wasn't very clear. We got the call for that one 2 days before departure date, we were already in New Orleans, but we already had the cabin that we wanted for that cruise.

 

For this cruise on the Miracle since there are no cabins on Lido deck it didn't matter to us. As well, if Carnival wanted full price for the Ocean Suite, I would have said no thanks. But for $300 total it was worth it to us!

I got our upsell call about 6-7 months ago from interior lido to balcony lido 5 day additional $180. Jumped all over it. It was shortly after Final payment made. Guessing you need to be paid in full first

I will! Looking forward to going just jealous that I have not had an upsell yet. Still cabins available so I am still hopeful. LOL
