Quantum of the Seas' incredible 270 presentation

Recommended Posts

Whilst on the voyage from New York to Singapore my wife and I marvelled at the incredible holographic panorama in the 270 theatre at the stern.

These panoramas are projected onto the curtains in front of the stern windows.

Of special enjoyment was the 'Santa Fe Fat City Horns' holographic production.

It was so like being there in a live theatre that many people forgot themselves after each number and clapped.

One thing that mystifies me though is why the theatre is called 270 and not 180, as it is situated in the stern and if it was 270 it would be on the port side midships.

Maybe someone can shed some light on this?

Yep, thanks guys. I guess you are all correct on that. It sure looks like a wrap around on the floor plan. Sitting in the theatre it doesn't give that impression.

It just looks like the stern windows.

I am wondering if they have the same holographic unit on the Ovation?

The captain said in a question and answer session one day that the whole thing cost 36 million dollars.
