B2B procedure??

Has anyone done a B2B on MSC Divina who can tell me if you have to disembark between cruises? I've heard of other lines just making those staying on board for a 2nd leg go to a lounge to clear customs.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

TIA

Michelle :)

You will meet in a lounge and the representative will escort you off the ship, clear customs and then back on. Very easy.

This is true of all USA lines when the ship returns to any port in the USA.

This is because USA customs will not clear the ship until all guests have gone through immigration and customs. Even all crew has to go through immigration but the difference is the crew can continue with their duties. The passengers cannot go back though until the ship has been cleared.

It depends on the port. Some ports you don't have to get off at all.

We will be at Port of Miami. On the Princess B2B cruise our friends took out of FLL, they just had to meet in a lounge and customs came to them...they didn't have to disembark. We will be in the YC the first leg and then a balcony the 2nd (YC was all booked by someone). Would be nice if we could wait in the top sail and be cleared there but that's asking too much, I'm sure. lol

I was in the YC on a back to back. At least we could leave our things in the room. We met in the Black & White lounge, they walked us thru immigration. We actually decided to go to Bayside and walk around and hang out for a couple of hours and then we went right back to the ship. We were able to walk right thru.

If you are in the YC the concierge is able to give you new cards for the 2nd leg. They have to close and reopen your account. That is why we could just walk back on - we did have the butler escort.

Some passengers went thru immigration and went right back on.

That is what I'm hoping for...quick off and on again and not having to wait in the long line since we're not in the YC the 2nd leg.

Thank you!
