Have you been on the Reflection lately?

So we are booked on the Reflection later this year. This will be a return visit to this ship and I have to admit that it is one of my favorites!!! I hear they have made a few changes tho, but the diagrams on X's website do not show any of them. Here are my questions:

Where did they put Luminae?

What did they replace the Molecular Bar with?

I heard they moved the conference center and put Quasar in that space like on the sister ships, is this true?

Thanks in advance!!

I'm on the Reflection just now & she's a gorgeous ship! Luminae is near the other speciality restaurants. But a deck down at the back of the ship, not sure what was there before but not in a suite.

Molecular Bar is now the World Service Bar but not tended to use it!

Not sure where Quasar is!

We got off in March,

Luminae is where the old left side entrance of the MDR used to be, it's just a section of the MDR partitioned off,

The world class bar has replaced the molecular bar,

There was no Quasar when we got off, it was still very much a conference room,

We cruise on Reflection last month. Where or if they put Quasar somewhere not sure. What is where Quasar is on other Solstice class ships. Half the space is a conference center and the other half is future cruise sales.

You will have a great time!

She is a really stunning ship, we don't want to get off at all!

Tips mmmmm don't lose your money in the casino is the best one I can think of! [emoji23]

Dinner in Murano one night was a great experience for us. Likewise our first lunch on board was at Sushi on Five - I was told they are going to keep this so called pop up!

I found the World Class Bar to be excellent. I sampled every one of their specialty drinks. Some I liked more than others but they were all good. Nik and Laz are the bartenders. If you take a little time to get to know them you will find they are very serious about their jobs and very funny guys as well. Please tell them Eve from Chicago says Hi! and tell Nik I'm waiting for my recipes!

Enjoy your trans cruise. What a great experience.

The latest change is the replacement of Bistro on Five by Sushi on Five.

We never used Bistro on Five and it appeared to be empty most of the time so I can understand the idea and need of a change.

However, realizing people enjoyed the Sushi on the Ocean View buffet in the afternoons/evenings and taking it away as a free item just to move it to an extra cost venue... quite cheeky ;)

BTW: you can find a review with loads of pictures of Reflection plus a section dedicated to the ship only by clicking on the link in my signature.

I appreciate your post! Nik is our favorite bartender and both Nik and Laz are the best. Get them going about goofy things cruisers will ask and you will be entertained all night long. They were so good that DH and I tipped them extra all week as well as additional at the end of the cruise.

While the World class bar is limited in the selections, IMO well worth the stop. Tell Nik Kevin and Susan say hello and we will be in touch!
