Shuttle Drop off in Brisbane

Recommended Posts

Can anybody tell me where Celebrity's shuttle will drop off in Brisbane? I was wondering how close it is to the Mirimar Cruises. Also, if anyone knows if there is a cost and how long it takes?

I am researching exact the same currently and didn't find an answer yet.

It seems that if you dock at Portside wharf there will be a cruise ship shuttle to city centre. I don't know why they shouldnt offer one from the Freight Terminal.

I think that you have been to Brisbane already - did you get the answers? That would be very helpful!

The Solstice probably won't be going to portside, it is a while ago now but we docked at the Grain terminal and the drop off was by the casino on Elisabeth street.

That is close to the Mirimar dock. The boat does a leisurely cruise up the river. I don't know what you are planning to do, but if your reason to take the boat is to visit Lone Pine, you would be better to go by taxi.

I don't think Solstice fits under the Gateway Bridge. Golden Princess doesn't.

It was a while ago (2013), but then it was $22 return.

I think that was USD as well, so any more than two people in a taxi would be more convenient but only if there are any taxi's available. If you are just a couple, team up with another couple and go with the 4.

If there are two ships in port the shuttles from the Grain terminal may go to a different location.

When we were there in April on Golden Princess, one of the Princess Sun class ships was at Portside. Their shuttles stopped near the Treasury Casino, ours stopped on the corner of Queen and Creek Sts, about four blocks from the river.

Good point.

If I was docked at portside, I would just catch the river cat, much more scenic and quite accessible to the dock.

I hope I don't die waiting for the new terminal at Luggage Point. How ideal would it be to have a City Cat terminal adjacent so cruisers can zip up the river to the City/Lone Pine/or out to the islands.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

That would be awesome but cannot see anything being built in the next couple of years.

Yes, it's a lovely trip into the city on a nice day. We did that on our Dawn Princess cruise last year.
