Setting sail for fun Posted May 7, 2016 #101 Share Posted May 7, 2016 Your aft balcony looks great. Have never tried that before - everyone seems to like them. Happy Sailing!
Yorkvillain Posted May 7, 2016 #102 Share Posted May 7, 2016 (edited) Gizmo wants to apologize for not being a grey and white cat. He also made a rather perverted comment (it's a take off on your cat's name). I'm not going to post the comment here. It was very immature of him. I let him off the hook though since it is Caturday. He apologized again and said have a Meowvelous cruise! Edited May 7, 2016 by Yorkvillain
maureencruiser Posted May 7, 2016 Author #103 Share Posted May 7, 2016 That's some balcony! I have an aft too, I hope it's as large as that one! I got mine with as a Bella Balcony too, you'd think one would have to pay more for the larger balconies! It's actually Fantastica. I don't use any of the other benefits, since there really aren't many. I did order room service once in December and it was free, but, they brought the wrong item, might try that again. Gizmo wants to apologize for not being a grey and white cat. Hey, all cats are welcome here, I had a ginger, too, adopted her at the same time as Nutmeg. Her name was Ginger and she was FLV positive. The vet called them the Spice Girls.:)
maureencruiser Posted May 7, 2016 Author #104 Share Posted May 7, 2016 This is what the log in page looks like, I'll have to keep an eye on it for the week. I'm typing this in wordpad if the font looks funny. I recommend eating in the back of the buffet, especially when it's crowded, like boarding day. It's less crowded, there is a view and there is a bar back there. Look, I'm eating salad, for probably the first and last time on the cruise and drinking strawberry kiwi water. The other dish is Chicken Biryani(sp?), I got it from the ethnic corner. I don't think my portion had any chicken, but, it sure was spicy! Finally, I broke down and ordered a slice and a glass of Rose. A while later, never mind how long! , I flagged down a different bar waiter and ordered a glass of rose. One more rose, he said. I said, you don't have to say it like that, advertising to everyone that I've already had at least one, just say 1 glass of rose. :D I was saddened to see these ballonns which had broken away from someone's party. Rare A&L_Ont Posted May 7, 2016 #105 Share Posted May 7, 2016 :D:D The perfect review! They should give us the cruise for free! Do you hear that, Royal Caribbean? :D:D I'd take that free cruise. You two in?
maureencruiser Posted May 7, 2016 Author #106 Share Posted May 7, 2016 The reason I was sad was this little fella, the last thing he needed was ballonns crashing into his home. So, I decided to go down to my cabin, see if my suitcase had arrived and unpack if it did. Unpacking is thirsty work, so, I got these to come with me. In the hallway, I ran into an older Italian? couple who couldn't find their cabin, they didn't speak English and I surely didn't speak Italian. I gestured enough to ask if they had their cruise card. They understood and showed me, 10263. My next door neighbors! Except, anyone who's been on a ship knows, odds are on one side, evens on the other. So, I led them over to the other side, where we saw 10271, 10269, etc. They were so excited, the wife was blowing me kisses, so, I was blowing them back. As I triumphantly returned to my cabin, I saw three young women, saying cinco, cinco and opening the door marked Crew Only. I leapt into action, once more, calling out cinco, cinco? As I tried to open my door, while balancing the two glasses of wine, I pointed them over to the other side. They were also very excited and thankful, but, they didn't blow me any kisses. My next mission, before my next MSC cruise is to learn to say odd and even in different languages. That would make things so much easier. Sadly, my suitcase hadn't arrived, so, I was stuck having to drink all that wine. Halfway through them, I decided to try and take a selfie, can you tell I've been imbibing? This is my view, right now. I'm hoping I'm not visible on the webcam right now, half drunk, legs spread open like a lumberjack.

shukapaw Posted May 7, 2016 #109 Share Posted May 7, 2016 @maureencruiser, I started reading your report and was about to write you off after you made some semi-disparaging remarks concerning Margaritas. However, I endured and you came to your senses and and had not one, but two watermelon Margaritas. All is forgiven. ;) I love your writing style and twisted sense of humor (Hue´-mah). We have booked the balcony right next to yours for our first MSC sailing in June of 2017.... cabin 10279. I hope you have a great trip and really look forward to reading more. Now get back to it... that wine isn't going to drink itself! ~Brian

maureencruiser Posted May 8, 2016 Author #111 Share Posted May 8, 2016 I'd take that free cruise. You two in? All day, every day, now, how do we get RC to agree? You better get your towel ready,,,I see the Carnival Splendor heading towards the turning basin!!! Did you see me? I had the two towels going in different directions like a stripper's tassels. :D I couldn't access the internet to see if Lady D was on or not. :( I was at muster when the C Glory headed out. I was back on my balcony for our sailaway and it was spectacular. The Goodyear Blimp is here for the NBA playoffs and she was right over the ship! Have you ever been on a ship, under a blimp, under a plane? I couldn't stop taking pictures of the sunset, the blimp just added to the surrealness of it. Gorgeous! Blimps, helicopters, it had a very post apocalyptic feel to it.
maureencruiser Posted May 8, 2016 Author #112 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Miami, You is on fire, tonight! Here comes that blimp, again. I took so many pictures! I felt like the stars aligned for me to take these pictures, tonight. I missed the show, because the real show was behind the ship. :D
maureencruiser Posted May 8, 2016 Author #113 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Why is there a chair outside my door? Am I supposed to be under watch by Security? Me, at the muster, they made us put on the jackets, sigh. My muster was in the Black and White lounge, and just like before, people were tripping. One older lady, WITH A CANE, tripped, lost her shoe and bloodied her nose! I felt so bad for her, what a way to start your cruise. After muster, I went to grab a nibble in the buffet. For dinner, I had another salad , some lime hoki fish and some pizza. I have had 9 glasses of wine today, 1 can of coke and 1 bottle of water, all free. :D I'm skipping the activities tonight, came on here, now I'm gonna check in on FB, sit on my balcony while I polish off my wine. Tomorrow is a sea day, so plenty of time to rest. Maureen out!
maureencruiser Posted May 8, 2016 Author #114 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Oops, quoting didn't work- to the poster who asked, I bought the Surfer package. To the poster who thought I said something negative about Margaritas, I can't imagine what i would have said bad about them? But, you are right, the wine isn't going to drink itself. :D:D

Coralc Posted May 8, 2016 #116 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Sleep Well Maureen! :D We are enjoying your live thread immensely! We had a cat that was absolutely terrified of blimps. We are not that far from the Coliseum in Oakland, and the blimps float over on their way to sporting events. It was the oddest thing. His eyes would get huge as he looked up at it. Then he would he crawl on his belly to get under a table or the patio chairs.:D

riclop Posted May 8, 2016 #119 Share Posted May 8, 2016 I will put my requests in this thread Maureen: First: Please check to see what "MED" by MSC products/prices are available in the logo store for me,,especially the diffuser or something similar posted below: Secondly: Bea and I have had an ongoing conversation regarding the casino loyalty program: https://www.msccruisesusa.com/en-us/Cruise-Information/On-Board/MSC-Casino-VIP.aspx We'd like to know if MSC intends to expand the casino loyalty program to be included as an extension of the Voyager Club membership. Also,,how does MSC determine point values and what comps are given at certain point values. Bea received a 30% off a future cruise for her play in the casino onboard MSC Magnifica so maybe a chit chat with the casino manager may shed some light on MSC's direction with this new program,,,which btw,,isn't very well advertised. Have a great cruise Maureen!!!!! If I think of anything else,,,,I know how to reach you!!! :D:D Mike i just got off the Divina today and there is no diffuser. shukapaw Posted May 8, 2016 #120 Share Posted May 8, 2016 I have had 9 glasses of wine today...... Don't be so hard on yourself. It was embarkation so it wasn't a full day and you have another week to get the glasses of wine per day number up where it should be! Brian
Rare A&L_Ont Posted May 8, 2016 #121 Share Posted May 8, 2016 (edited) Now if there were cats riding on blimps and on wings on planes I'd be really be impressed. That would defently be worth a periscope. If a feline fell off the wings are f the plane it would be considered cat-a strophic. FYI, that blimp was there in honour of the Raptors defeating the Heat tonight. Edited May 8, 2016 by A&L_Ont
