$100 to get internet and beverage package upgrade - would you do it?

We are booked in a S2 cabin for a 14 night cruise for Feb 2017 for 2 adults and 1 child. At the time of booking, our perks were: $300 OBC, grats and classic alcoholic beverage packages for the first two passengers, 40-min internet and classic non-alcoholic package for the third passenger. I asked my TA today about rebooking for the Go Best offer where the first two passengers would get internet and an upgrade to premium alcoholic packages and she has replied to say it would cost $100 more.

Would you do it? It works out to less than $10 per night BUT I, being the second passenger, am a teetotaller anyway.

Grateful for your views on this. Thanks!

First, I thought that suites included go best by default, just like OV and higher includes go big in the base price.

It may be that it was booked before that, and now prevailing rate, which gives you go best included, is the $10 per night. Even if only for never having to watch Internet minutes, it would be worth it to me.

Yes, we booked it before the all inclusive came into being. Decisions decisions!

Personally, I wouldn't...

But, I am not a big drinker...and I don't really care that much about having lots of premium choices on alcohol. For what I drink, the choices on the standard "Classic" package are enough...I can get Jack Daniels--which is what I drink most of the time...or Bailey's for a nightcap...or whatever "well" drinks they put in a Margarita. If I had specific higher end favorites that were only on the Premium package, I might think differently.

As to the Free Internet, I am Elite Plus Captains Club, so we get 200 minutes of free internet apiece anyway...Plus, we often find free WiFi in port, so check our email there...and there is only so much of my cruise time that I want to waste glued to my computer. But, I have met people who log into work every night and burn through a lot of internet time. For them, unlimited internet is probably a necessity.

So look at what your personal alcohol choices are...and how much time you spend online, especially the latter...If that's high, then a mere $100 saves you worrying about it (or is it $300--$100 per person?). Also, since you said it's only free internet for the first two, I guess you can have your child log on as you...

That sentence of internet being a necessity struck home - I need to check with DH as I think he will be the one needing constant access. And the child will be 4 years old come embarkation day; heaven forbid she needs to log on!! The 40 min she has is time enough for her Peppa Pig videos :p

Thanks everyone for responding. Looks like we will be rebooking if DH says he needs the internet. We have quite a few sea days so his response will swing the pendulum either way.

For us it is about convenience. $100 I'll spend in the casino in 1 evening. You will have access to MC. They will have soda, water, ect. They have 4 or 5 glass fridges full of things to drink.
