Potstech Posted May 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Yes there are plenty. Figure about $35.00 for the trip.
zqvol Posted May 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Are taxis readily available at Canada Place Terminal for transport to YVR airport? Yes, plenty of cabs, and a nice ride through town.
Budget Queen Posted May 10, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2016 the cab line is to the right, just passing the secure area. It can be huge, with 2 ships in port. :)
xlxo Posted May 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 11, 2016 In general... lots of taxi's. Which day are you arriving? If it's a 3 ship day.... it may get kinda interesting like last week where there was a 3 hour wait. If the line is too long... research options like.... the subway is three blocks to the East. the Waterfront and/or Pan Pacific hotel drag luggage 3 blocks West to the Pacific Rim hotel drag luggage 5 blocks West to the Harbourfront hotel Whatever the crowd is doing.... do something different. Putterdude Posted May 11, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) If the taxi line is long you can roll your luggage across the street to the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel and grab a cab from there. The fare will be about $35 CAD, however the cabbies will accept USD .... with not a good exchange rate and you will get your change in CAD...so keep your bank notes small. They will also accept US Visa and Mastercards. Another option is to take the Canada Line which departs from the red brick to your left as you come up the ramp from Canada Place. Avoid the temptation to enter the station from the Howe St.ramp...instead continue up to Cordova St., turn left and go in thru the main doors. Once inside the station follow the signs to the Canada Line, two trains operate on this track and the one you want is YVR/Airport. The fare is $4 CAD p.p. and the ticket machines will take cash or Visa or MasterCard and Visa debit cards. YVR is the last station on the line and the cars were designed to be luggage friendly. Djaye Posted May 11, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 11, 2016 We have a departing flight at 11:55 in July. Seriously looking at SkyTrain. Three blocks from port and a 35 min trip, with no chance of getting hung up in traffic.

Three blocks from port and a 35 min trip, with no chance of getting hung up in traffic.you haven't heard about the "medical incidents" ..... A potential bottleneck are other cruisers ahead of you trying to figure out the ticket machines and then trying to avoid the train to China (Brighouse). QueenofEverything Posted May 12, 2016 #10 Share Posted May 12, 2016 Take a cab! The line will be really long and may scare you if you are short on time but it goes really fast!
PixShooter Posted May 13, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 13, 2016 I spend a fair amount of time in Vancouver. I would just take the train. Almost without exception I find it to be faster and it's only a few dollars per person. The only thing that might sway the decision is if you have packed a lot and have to deal with a lot of luggage.
