Love the review. I'm actually in the process of moving to Northern California next year. I currently live in Florida and enjoy cruising from here so it will be bittersweet. I noticed these cruises and thought they were interesting so thanks for posting.

Thank you for your comments. If you moving to California you could do like the ultimate Alaskan from San Francisco or other potential pacific coastal cruises.

Phew for a while there I thought that 'we' were going to miss the cruise.

I have to say that there seem to be very few other passengers showing in your photos. Was the ship empty?

We felt like we were going to miss it and see our friends sail off without us.

Since it was a short repo there were only 800 or so passengers.

We all decided it was time to turn in and headed back to our staterooms.

Sleeping in sounded really good, but our bodies had other plans.

Needless to say the sail into the Seattle area was awesome!

So glad you made the ship, I was worried there for awhile! Thank you for the review and the photos. I enjoyed everything. I may have to consider one of these overnight cruises. It would be nice to enjoy a trip with smaller crowds.

We live in such a beautiful part of the country. I commute to work on the Bremerton to Seattle ferry. And when the long ferry commute gets to me, I remind myself to think about how much I love living here and the beauty of this area. The sacrifice is worth it to me.

Enjoy your Alaska cruise next month!

Good review, glad you made it. The food and menu seemed to have a good variety and looked very good.

Was this only a one night cruise?

yes. The Jewel did a Los Angeles to Vancouver leg, then did a 1 night Vancouver to Seattle. It then started its Alaska roundtrips from Seattle.

You should. I am glad to share. There is a one nighter Seattle to Vancouver in September on the Pearl. We did the Seattle to Vancouver last fall and there were only like 600 people total. We got a $49 pp Balcony stateroom.

We do live in such a beautiful area and we often don't appreciate it effectively. The DW and I are looking forward to the Alaskan Cruise.

We met up with our friends back at our staterooms and went to breakfast in the MDR. I forgot to get menu shots, but it is the disembarkation breakfast menu.
