Cabin Class Differences? (Brilliance of the Seas)

Recommended Posts

SO we were told we had an E2 Oceanview stateroom when we booked our sruise on Brilliance of the Sea, but the room number we have now been given is an E3.

I am trying to find out if there are any differences in the rooms?

are E3 better than E2?

Are they the same?

thanks in advance.

Same size room(E2 and E3), location on the ship and 3rd or 4th bed configuration would be the differences as far as I know. Do you have the room number yet? Sometimes I find E3 much to my liking over E2's due to location.

E class rooms have a 2 person love seat between the bed and wall. A D class room has a full 3 person sofa in this area. The D is a bit longer cabin. We have done both, they both worked out fine.

Cabin size is the same. E2 are on deck 8,9 or 10 while E3 are on deck 7.

Many of the E3 on deck 7 are listed as having an obstructed view (lifeboats)

E3's forward and aft have larger balconies but the privacy divider is only full height for the first couple feet then it is a lower divider close to the railing.

Same exact dimensions. E2 would have a perceived better location.

Yes, we have one on deck 7 mid ship. E3. Hopefully it won't be too bad a view, but as long as we can sit out and watch the sea go by as we drift along, I'm not too worried. Long as we have friendly neighbours lol.

There is a difference in price. If you booked and paid for E2, that's what you should have. I would call and ask why your category changed. I would also look at the deck plan and see where you would want to be, no matter which category you're in. Usually if the deck plan shows a cabin that looks out between lifeboats, that's accurate. If you find an E3 you want, talk to RCCL about moving you.

So basically, we were told we should have an E2 cabin, which may be on either 8, 9 or 10, but the T.A. have told us its one on deck 7, which may, or may not have a lifeboat underneath. And although I'm sure that isnt going to spoil the holiday for us, if we paid for an E2, we should get an E2, not an E3..

\on another note though, reading other reviews of cabins on higher decks being nearer the noises of the bars etc at night, maybe deck seven is a better one to be allocated to?

Bars/Casino/Game show lounge are all on Deck 6. You are nearer on Deck 7.
