Using OBC on Princess to prepay internet

Hi, I am going to be sailing on the Royal Princess in June and was thinking about prepaying for the $69 120 minutes internet package beforehand so I can get some extra minutes. I was looking to buy it today but it wanted me to enter my credit card information. I was hoping to use my OBC as I have $150 to use - $100 for having stock and $50 for using my FCC. Is this possible to not have them charge my CC, or do I have to buy it on the ship to use my OBC? Thanks!

Oh, bummer :( Thanks Paul. If I decide not to prepay and to get the internet package on the ship, can I charge it to my onboard account to use my OBC that way?

Everything you spend on the ship will be subtracted from your OBC (with the exception of some of the casino games, I think).

Don't forget you'll have gratuities to pay, too.

Ordering your internet package on the day you board the ship will get you the extra minutes.

Anything ***** board is charged to your shipboard account . You can order the Internet before the cruise and then have it charged to your ship board account.

I've done that with excursions and other things .

You can do that with excursions only... if anyone wants to order the internet package, they will have to pay for it beforehand and will be charged to the credit card.

I have always seen better deals (extra minutes) if purchased before than on the ship. Last 2 years it has been up to 80 free minutes if purchased before and up to 40 free minutes once on the ship. YMMV. Compare the offers before you board with what the Patter has listed from a recent cruise.

Anything prepaid must be charged to a credit card. You can only use OBC for thing charged to your on board account. Sorry.

Also, don't forget, you don't have your OBC, until you board the ship, and are officially on your cruise, anytime prior to that, the cruise can and may be cancelled for one or another reason.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but it seems related. Can I assume then that if I order the AIBP before my departure date I will pay for it at that time and that it won't be charged to my onboard account?

I believe that is how it works
