gb88 Posted May 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2016 We are arriving in Zeebrugge on the Emerald Princess and would like to get to Brussels. It appears that there are almost no shore excursions that actually visit Brussels. I also would prefer NOT scheduling an 8-9 hour shore excursion - it's just too long. I am concerned about the safety of public transportation (trains). Any suggestions for what to do.

Working 2 Cruise Posted May 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 30, 2016 I would suggest visiting Bruges instead. It's a lovely little town, fairly close to the port, unlike Brussels. A lot of museums as well, with wonderful paintings by Vermeer, etc. I speak from experience....
sunsetbeachgal Posted May 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2016 Loved Bruges! Have been there a couple of times, once took a ships excursion and the more recent time we shared a taxi with someone on our roll call. It is a beautiful and enchanting little town, and would highly recommend.
