Looking to book a cruise next summer to Bermuda. One of the choices is the Pride. It seems to have the newer restaurants/bars. I wanted to know from people who have been on the Pride, what was their experience. Again, just going by online pics, I really like the idea that the Serenity area has its own pool. Would love to hear from people who have been on her, what did you think?

We were on the Pride for the fourth time in February. We've been cruising for many years, and on many different cruise lines. For us, the Pride is a great size, easy to get around, the crew has always been fantastic, the port is only an hour and a half drive from our house, and we always get a great price. We're not looking for mega ships. We're not taking kids along, so we don't need amusement park-like venues, i.e. climbing walls, bumping cars, etc. It's also hard for service not to fall off a little, when you have 4,000+ passengers on a ship.

We love the Serenity area, but you need to get there early because there are people who go there, put their book on the chair and leave for a couple of hours )-: Additionally, we always choose traditional dining and not YTD. We just like eating later, and at the same time each night. There's a sushi restaurant too, and if you like sushi then definitely try it. Guy's Burgers are another great place to grab a burger for lunch while on the Pride.

Anyway, we're happy with the Pride. I just wish they would change their itineraries, and add more Bermuda cruises, instead of Nassau, Freeport, etc. I wanted to book the Bermuda cruise for this September, but we have a wedding. FYI - I don't know if you've ever been to Bermuda, but we've been going there since the 80's. While it's not the Caribbean, Bermuda is by far my favorite island. I'm still not losing hope that we might be able to book one of the Pride Bermuda cruises this year, and if not, definitely in 2017.

Have a great cruise on whatever ship you choose!!!

We agree ! Pride and Legend (both spirit class) are our favorite, zero question

about it. We have felt CROWDED on ALL other Carnival ships we've done as a comparison. (Liberty, Freedom, Dream, Destiny/Sunshine). Likely due to

a great design, as well as space per passenger. If you go down the attached page to the middle, square foot comparisons will show how much larger

the Pride is per person:

Love the Pride. Was on her 14 days in March on a journey and going again in September to Bermuda. The only thing I can find negative is that there are no lounge chairs on the Promenade deck. Anybody know why? While Serenity is nice, lounge chairs are in the sun and sitting under the roof you can't enjoy watching the water. I want to see the sea. We may bring our quad chairs for this reason in September.

Evie,

Do you mean the Atlantic Deck (Deck 3)? Can't picture where lounge chairs with a sea view would go on the Promenade Deck (Deck 2). :)

The Atlantic Dec (Deck 3) doesn't have lounge chairs because it is intended to be a "walking deck" as well as accessibility to the life boats which hang right above for most of the deck. Deck three is where the muster stations are and I think that might have something to do with it. Just my thoughts - I could be completely wacko. :D

See you in September and we can discuss it. Maybe I can help you drag a couple loungers down from the Lido. :D:D

We are trying Carnival via Pride in January 2018. It seems to have a loyal following and the price was quite low booking that far ahead, so what the heck?

Other than Serenity area, what are the decks that have loungers? I love to read and nap in the shade.

Thanks!

The Pride was the first ship and only ship (going on the Conquest in August 2016)

this ship is great we had 4 people me ,wife, 2 girls 7&9 they both loved camp (my youngest at the time says daddy why do we have to go on vacation to go to camp?)by day one they were sold. the size of the ship and the layout is good you do have to walk thru the casino to get to the main area where they do the shows and bingo (i won 2x first day $750 last day $1000 :). we had a balcony, one floor under the ledo which was allsome and quiet ,i can be long winded but i hope you book the Pride everything was real easy at most 30 minuets to get on board we carried our bags off in the morning and were off in about 30 min. also

Good luck and enjoy the PRIDE!!!

Ps. we went when before all the upgrades so she has got to be even better now !

Kevin:

Yep, deck 3. We look out our french doors on deck 4 and nothing. Other ships have lounges under the lifeboats. They rope off the section they may be working on. Only saw maintenance working twice besides the time lowering the lifeboats. I kidded the guys that I was their supervisor. I just want to watch the sea quietly.
