Drink Package Question

This is just for future reference as I will not have a drink package on my next cruise. If you have the drink package with the $13 drink limit (just raised from $12 for those that think I had the wrong number) and you want to order a more expensive drink, do you have to pay for the whole drink or just the difference?

It's supposed to be the difference but watch your bill to ensure it was charged correctly.
