Flying into Tampa in lieu of MCO

Wow, we can fly into Tampa much cheaper than MCO October 7, 2016; for our cruise on the Magic October 8.

I'm curious if anyone can suggest transportation company's to Port Canaveral that day or would we be better off just renting a car?

I would do a one-way rental car from TPA to one of rental offices near Port Canaveral. Here is a map of those:

I'd budget around 2.5 hours for the trip.

Go with the rental. Easy drive up I-4/528, (90 miles) to PC.

Depending upon the I-4 traffic between Tampa and Orlando I would expect the trip to take 2-2.5 hours. All of the car rental agencies in PC/Cocoa Beach offer free shuttles to the port. Good luck! :)

It's actually 134 miles. Lakeland would be about 90 miles.

It's 135 miles from Tampa's airport to Cape Canaveral.

If I-4 and RT. 528 traffic isn't bad it's about a 2 hour 15 minute drive from the Tampa airport to Cape Canaveral, about 135 miles.
