google There is a website for this kind of question.

There is nothing on the 2017 drydock that appears on the website you mentioned-tried many variations of the question. So, if you have information that others don't, please share.

Is it true Crown princess is going to dry dock for refurbishing in 2017 ???

Thanks for your replies.

I don't know for sure, but I do know she had a dry dock in May 2015. 2017 seems a little early for the next one. Unless there are issues that need to be addressed.

According to the website, google: (Crown Princess Refurbishing 2017)

Crown Princess 2017 - this will happen

"SHARE by Curtis Stone" replaces Sabatini’s (Italian restaurant) or Pizzeria (complimentary restaurant)

Mini Suite category MA changes into M1

cabin renovations

general maintenance works

on selected ships cabins were made interconnecting

A little over 2 days until Andy's day.

The above information is generic and not specific to any ship. Looking at the published schedule for 2017, there are only two disconnected 5 day openings on the Crown in the fall of 2017. In addition, she apparently had a drydock in May of 2015 and would not normally have another until 2018. If they were to add SHARE to the Crown it would be a special drydock as was done with the Emerald and Ruby. Princess has only published a schedule for adding SHARE to four ships, the Emerald, Ruby, Coral and Sun. SHARE was not added during the Coral drydock.

This is not an official Princess site. It says the information is speculative and, "The following list represents combined research from cruisecritic.com..." Thus, it is possible that new information could be drawn from speculative posts on this thread, creating a tautology of sorts.

  • 2 weeks later...

Look at all the other schedules and the times between. Most of the ships have the same amount of time between Drydocks and it usually takes 2-3 weeks plus they work on the ships while at sea. In 2010, Diamond had a refit and 4 weeks later they were still finishing a restaurant and painting the railings at 6 weeks. Amazing amount of work in a short time.

If you click on the deck plans of the Crown on the Princess website, it asks if you are sailing before or after April 8, 2017. So maybe something is happening in April.

On April 8, 2017 Crown sails on a transatlantic from Ft Lauderdale to Southampton.

There are no gaps in Crown's sailing schedule all winter before that date. So no drydock scheduled.

The revised deck plans show only the former MA mini-suites on Dolphin deck midhsip converted to M1 Club Class.

Sabatini's is still Sabatini's not SHARE and I could not spot any changes to public areas. Nor any cabins newly listed as connecting.

Those are cabin category changes only.

Nothing to do with dry dock work.

That date prompt comes up on all the ships when you pull them up.
