I just want review give a short review on our trip. I'll elaborate later, but the night before we got off I started getting a cough and now I'm sick. Ugh.

Anyway this was a 10 day to Alaska from San Francisco, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. I was amazed at the outstanding service we received. Everyone was so helpful and eager to please. As far as the condition of the ship, it was a bit run down. But employees were always fixing something. We had a Caribe balcony near the front elevators. It had some rusted areas. One tip ask for an extra blanket right away. I felt it was cold at night, the thermostat seemed to want to be cooler at night even when I turned it up. Anyway all blankets were already taken by passengers.

The food was great. I even tried fish, I'm not a seafood lover. I had the salmon the first day and it was tasty. However toward the end of the trip I tried it again and it wasn't as good.

The buffet area was chaotic. Only one side was open and passengers are rude in the buffet. I prefer the dining room.

We ate at the Crown Grill twice. I loved the lamb chops and my husband enjoyed the rib eye. Service was top notch.

We had anytime dining and found eating at 730 we never waited.

Entertainment was ok. One comedian was great, the other one that had the dog and was a magician was ok. The production shows were average. The piano player was amazing.

The international cafe was great. We had the drink package so it was nice to sit in the Piazza and have the wine bar there, the coffee bar there and another bar as we listened to entertainment. We liked the Rhapsody Trio. Spectacular!

The ports were great and we had great weather. Glacier Bay was breathtaking.

I'm going to sign off for now. Time to rest. Ask anything you like and I'll answer as soon as I feel a bit better.

No fever, just a cough which is causing a headache. On a positive note I got all my laundry done and my husband put luggage away. Our poor dog was sulking while the suitcases were out. She gave me the cold shoulder for a couple days.

Thanks for your review.

I find it hard to NOT get sinus probs while on most ships.....

Either from passengers, or the constant Blowing of fans/ AC in the cabins.

Hate that. Wish we could turn Off the darn things.

Since you mentioned needing blankets, my guess you had a BLOWER!

Hope you feel better soon.

Were on Grand in Oct.

Alittle nervous about condition.

How were beds? Noise levels? Smells? Casino games? Really smokey? etc.

Thanks.

We were in Caribe 307. The first night we heard a lot of banging. It was our neighbors balcony chairs banging because they were stacked. The cabin steward fixed the problem the next day. However my husband couldn't sleep due to the noise. The walls creak too.

However the sea was very smooth and the the weather was awesome.

I'm feeling better now, but my husband thinks he has a sinus infection.

I loved this cruise, however I always seemed to get lost. Promenade deck was quite windy at times when we would take our walks.

Also we did the Chefs Table. It was an amazing experience. They only had one chef table experience. I'm glad we got to do it.
