Question to those have sailed on the Cunard Ships recently . I would like to take on board a case or 2 of my favorite bottled water . Is this permitted by Cunard ? Will they impose a fee?

Thanks

Not even for spirits, Champagne, wine or beer.

Take on board anything you like.

This is still hard for me to believe coming from other cruiselines. Not to sound like a prude, but just me being able to bring one bottle of bourbon will save me $80-100 for the sailing!

Meanwhile, CC has published the following story today about NCL

http://www.cruisecritic.co.uk/news/news.cfm?ID=7112

Norwegian Cruise Line Bans Carry-On Water and Soda

Carnival Cruise Line banned bottled water, bottled soda and other non-alcoholic drinks in July 2015.

Ray. Thank you for bring this article up. Im very surprised to hear this about

NCL. I was on board Breakaway in February, and had no problem with bottled water. I see the article says July , 2016. A lot of passengers will be upset .

So now , Cunards policy about bringing water. ?

On NCL they offer the unlimited Berverage Package and includes alcohol, so there's no need to carry on liqueur .

Cunard, I never brought on spirits .One can't buy liqueur in the gift shop and bring it to the cabin too (QM2)

NCL cruises the Caribbean with lots of hot weather ports , so water is good to have .

I wasn't ware of spirits and champagne . I think wine

Has a corkage fee

R

If you consume your own drinks in public areas, such as restaurants, the there's a $20 per bottle corkage fee (but not necessarily always).

In you own room, you can do as you please.

Our next trip is in October and we'll be bringing half a dozen bottles of Veuve.

Our QG room will have 2 litres of spirits, plus beer and mixers, so we don't need to bring anything else.

. Really. So you can bring all that to your stateroom, no fee!

And bring your own cork opener ?

I'm in Britannia . i can do the same ?

I gave my favorite French Rose. Thinking 6 bottles. 2 bottle spirits. For the room. Will they be delivered to the stateroom?

You don't need a corkscrew for champagne, but in QG there is one anyway.

Either put your drinks in your cases, or carry them on board.

Good idea. I will take them as carry on. The gift shop on QM2 used to sell corkscrews. I bought one.
