Purchasing Triple and Only 2 Sailing

Recommended Posts

Have seen a deal for a week to the islands triple share at $360 per person so total is $1,080. As there is only 2 of us and we are happy to pay $540 each for the week, will the cruise line have an issue with this if we book for 3 and only 2 of us turn up on embarkation day.

as long as you put 3 names on the booking you should be ok

when you check in and if they ask about the 3rd person tell them they'll be along later

Whats the price for two?

They sometimes have deals where the third person travels for free or at half price.

It is showing twin share as sold out and only triple and quad share available.

This often relates to the configuration of the cabin where the 3rd person sleeps on a pull out sofa lounge. Should be no problem.

I've always wondered if anyone has actually deliberately done this - but never yet seen a first person anecdote of it!

It must be possible though, you don't get penalised for not showing up, you just lose your fare [or are left to claim on travel insurance].

We did this years ago when we took 94 year old MIL and the cost for her to go as a single was 150% of the price we paid so we booked for her and FIL and he did not go No problem at all
