Jewel of the Seas Deck 7

Recommended Posts

We will be in an interior cabin on Deck 7 of Jewel of the Seas on an upcoming cruise. For those who have stayed in cabins on Deck 7, I'm wondering if cigarette smoke from Casino Royale down on Deck 6 can be an issue. Does the smoke make its way up to Deck 7? And also wondering if you can hear the noise from the casino and The Pit Stop.

Thank you.

If you are close to the Centrum, then I would be concerned about the smoke. We found that on both Radiance and Brilliance, the Centrum acts as a distribution system for the smoke from the casino.

Have never smelled smoke in centrum from the casino and we have sailed multiple times on RD, JW, BR , SR, and we are very smoke sensitive as we are both asthmatic. I think you will be fine. Just do not leave your balcony door open to suction the air from hallways into your room. Again go for it!

You shouldn't hear any noise from either the casino or The Pit Stop but may hear noise from the Centrum. They have evening entertainment like the 70s night and have evening dance music.......some louder than others.

OK, thank you for your input. Maybe we'll just have to join them. :)

We've never noticed smoke from the casino elsewhere on radiance class ships (Jewel and Brilliance).

If your cabin is near the centrum, there's a good chance you'll hear the bands (music) in your cabin at night.

We were just in a cabin on deck 7 very close to the centrum. At no time did we smell smoke nor were we troubled by noise. Once the cabin door was closed it was as quiet as any other cabin we have had.

Truly do not be worried, you won't smell smoke. The only place we ever smell smoke is on pool deck on smoking side and when someone is illegally smoking on a balcony with balcony door open. Then you can smell in hallways. I immediately call Guest Relations desk and they send security. The noise is also no problem because the fire doors can be closed to block out noise from centrum parties. Enjoy and don't worry. Have no idea why Cleara reported smoke. But don't worry!! Happy sailing

We have spent 82 nights on a Radiance class ships, including Jewel. Most of those were on deck 7.

I cannot remember ever smelling smoke in my cabin. Back in the days of balcony smoking, there was a problem on our balcony. But certainly not today.

Thank you for your reassuring words. We won't have to worry about it now.

Have you stayed in a deck 7 cabin close to the Centrum? If so, when? Yes...the Fire Doors can be closed but that creates another problem when they're opened and slam shut.

Mostly there's no problem with smoke or noise but our experience is that there can be. We've also been in Vintages......outside the Casino.....and the smoke smell if very strong. Just depends......
