Getting my Sea legs

Hi all

My fiancee and I are getting ready for our first cruise end of the month.

We'll be sailing Carnival Victory to Nassau.

Just curious what to expect on board as far as drink prices and activities.

Is there much nightlife ?

So many questions, just don't want to bombard this initial post with them all

Thanks

Welcome to Cruise Critic. May I suggest you go to the Carnival threads and read...read..read. Tons of information. :):):)

In addition, I advise finding your roll call. It's organized by cruise line -> ship -> date. These are all of Carnival's roll calls: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=150 . Then find your ship and the thread that has your cruise's start date. Perhaps someone there will have even better answers for you than the general Carnival board.

Good luck and have fun!

Good suggestion - there is a good chance that there will be respeat cruisers on the roll call who can offer helpful tips - many posters on a general thread like this may never have sailed your ship - or even that line.

Welcome aboard! Don't worry about asking questions, this is surely the right place to ask them!

This might help with the drinks question, the Carnival Bar Menu. http://www.zydecocruiser.net/Carnival-Bar-Menu/CarnivalCruiseBarMenu.htm

Nightlife? Yep, there is some of that too! Depending on what you want to do there are the shows in the main show lounge, the casino, a band playing by the casino, the piano bar, sports bar, karaoke, and others.

I agree with the other posters, definitely check out the Roll Call threads for you cruise and also look at the Carnival thread. Specific questions work better than asking for opinions, too.

Good luck in your planning and the excitement of watching the days count down!
