Curious about Summit onboard discounts

While reading the CC forums for the past three months (in preparation for our cruise on the Summit on August 7), I have seen several comments about onboard discounts being offered to passengers (like for specialty dining, etc).

Can anyone be more specific on what the discounts are and if they are offered on more than just dining? Any to upgrade the drinking package? Or discounts on purchasing an internet package?

Thanks!

The most common discount is for specialty dining, ranging from 20% to 50%. On port days the spa might offer a discounted price. There is no discount for upgrading the beverage package. We don't buy internet or photos so I don't know if they offer any discounts. Different levels of the captains club receive either free internet minutes of a discount off of the package price.

There is a specialty lunch for $25 on a sea day. Bucket of beer is reduced on 1 or 2 days - see bulletin - I buy bucket, drink 2 then, keep unopened to exchange the next day for cold ones at same bar selling the bucket. Rendevous lounge has 'happy hr' prices 4-6pm? on select drinks - see their bar menu - recommend 'Loss of Words'

If you go to mycruisephotos.com, you can get the whole package, prints, dvd unlimited photos! for $199. this is for the entire cruise and a true bargain. Typically pictures are $25 year, so if you take 8 picts, the price is the same! If you purchase on board, even with the discount you will pay more.

Thanks, but we don't even have pictures taken by the ships photographers. After 15 cruises we don't need or want them. This info is good for others to know though.
