Clarea Posted July 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2016 Which should I choose an E3 on deck 8, or D2 on deck 9? Either would be fine with me. If you post stateroom numbers, we can be more helpful.
Merion_Mom Posted July 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2016 D2 on Deck 9, in almost all situations.
sparlkes Posted July 14, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted July 14, 2016 D2 is cabin 9362 or E3 is cabin 8574
Merion_Mom Posted July 14, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2016 My recommendation is still the same. D2 on Deck 9. Why are you asking? Are they the same price? If not, how much more is the D2?
sparlkes Posted July 14, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted July 14, 2016 Ok thanks for your help!
Clarea Posted July 14, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 14, 2016 D2 is cabin 9362 or E3 is cabin 8574 I'd slightly favor 9362 for the increased space, but 8574 is more centrally located and would likely have less motion.
cb at sea Posted July 14, 2016 #8 Share Posted July 14, 2016 D''s are larger than E's...so go for bigger!!! It's not a lot, but it's better than nothing, space wise!
Baron Barracuda Posted July 14, 2016 #9 Share Posted July 14, 2016 If price is the same, go with the larger D2 cabin Sailed on Explorer a number of times (miss her here in NJ, sob....) and often took balcony gty. NEVER had a bad cabin.
Merion_Mom Posted July 15, 2016 #10 Share Posted July 15, 2016 Which should I choose an E3 on deck 8, or D2 on deck 9? I'm changing my advice. I just checked the website. (now that I know which cruise you are talking about) TAKE THE BALCONY GUARANTEE. Save the $$$

FireStation46 Posted July 15, 2016 #12 Share Posted July 15, 2016 Balcony guarantee is just the cabin class but you could wind up any where with a poor balcony position or even one with an obstructed view. Our 1st cruise was EOS Inner cabin and I swore i would never do that again. 2nd trip was JS with balcony, port side if i recall which may give better views coming to each destination. Further cruises, we opted for Owners Suite, Sky Loft Balcony etc. The variety is nice. Once you figure out your needs and budget you will have great fun on Royal. Good luck with your decision.
