Nanookz Posted August 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2016 Our cruise is in October on the Escape and they moved the all aboard time from 4pm to 7pm. On all of our previous cruises we always left at 4pm. So what time will they let us get on board? thanks

Just curious how you just found out?
Nanookz Posted August 11, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted August 11, 2016 Someone posted in our roll call this morning. I logged into my ncl account and it confirmed the boat leaving at 7pm Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
Sand and Seas Posted August 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2016 Yes, ship is sailing out later, but you can still board at normal times. Someone on these boards that has already sailed at that later time said the Muster drill was at 4:30, but if someone missed it they would have a make up drill at sea. You can still board when the ship is cleared of the previous week's passengers....same as always.
Rare BirdTravels Posted August 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2016 Our cruise is in October on the Escape and they moved the all aboard time from 4pm to 7pm. On all of our previous cruises we always left at 4pm. So what time will they let us get on board? thanks We were on one of the first 7 pm sailings in May. Boarding starts at 11:30. Muster at 4:30. All aboard at 5:00 (but unless you want to do the make up drill on the first sea day, be at muster by 4:30). Sail away party at the pool at 5:15. We had an early dinner so we would be finished by sail away time.
boatseller Posted August 11, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 11, 2016 Yes. For clarity, the only thing that changed is the ship's departure time. This is a quite inconsequential change. The best speculation is this is timed for more European arrivals.

NHL Philly Fan Posted August 12, 2016 #9 Share Posted August 12, 2016 I'm surprised we don't have a mass amount of people 'demanding' compensation for the three hours! :D
drvmywifecrzy Posted August 12, 2016 #10 Share Posted August 12, 2016 The change was made to allow time to load all the extra soda needed on board now.
Nanookz Posted August 12, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted August 12, 2016 If they backuped up the time you got on board people would have a problem. I don't mind sitting in port as long as I'm on the ship. I would think for shop and casino revenue they would want to her out asap.
