Whatever deck it is you meet in your designated disembarkation lounge, not at the gangway, where a staff member will announce when your group can disembark, and advising the location of the gangway. No hanging around the gangway area and no ship wide announcements.

The OP is asking about embarkation (at the first of the cruise) not disembarkation (at the end of the cruise).

 

We booked Coral on Deck 6 but not sure that is always the case.
