Jasperdo Posted August 19, 2016 #52 Share Posted August 19, 2016 We plan on seeing more Alaska in our Motorhome:)That's a great trip! We did it back in 1995. Loved every minute of it. The Alaska Highway is one of the world's best drives. Be sure and take the Top of the World Highway either coming or going. The scenery is spectacular, and Dawson City is a fun and historic town. bigchid Posted August 19, 2016 #54 Share Posted August 19, 2016 We tried our first suite on our recent Alaska cruise. The part I liked the best was breakfast in Sabatini's, the rest of the perks you could pay for and come out ahead with a mini. We got a once in a lifetime price on the suite, and for that price I would certainly do it again. All considered, I think you made the rite choice. Joyously Sailing Away Posted August 19, 2016 #55 Share Posted August 19, 2016 Go for the 10 days. Sometimes a week off just isn't enough![emoji924][emoji38][emoji106] Have a great day[emoji924][emoji4][emoji106]
caribill Posted August 20, 2016 #56 Share Posted August 20, 2016 Another vote for the 10-day. A poster (above) says Ruby doesnt have Sabatini's anymore (no personal experience here), so there is one big strike against the available suite perks. On the ships that have replaced Sabitini's with Share the suite breakfast perk is still included. It is held in the Crown Steak House instead.
