Board and card games

It was the front desk that told me the Casino sells the cards for $1.00.

FYI: the casino decks which are $1 have no Jokers so if your game requires those cards, you are out of luck. I play hand and foot and would love to have a bunch of new decks for $1, but really need the jokers.

Hand & Foot: I thought our family members were the only ones who played this. My 90 yr old motheris addicted. Yes buying a bunch of "full" decks for a dollar would be sweet.

Funny with all the stuff that folks pack in their suitcases you'd think it was pretty easy to throw in a deck of cards??

We bring our own travel backgammon board because we play all the time. There are lots of games available on board but sometimes pieces are missing.

Just be aware that some hours for the library are slated for private group meetings. If you a set up for a game 15 minutes before a group is scheduled, you might get asked to leave.

Check the Fun Times for events in the Library.

I live in an apartment complex for folks over 55 and we have a mad game of hand and foot going on every day! She needs to be here!

We just got off the Imagination and the library was well-stocked with board games in very good condition.

The library is used for many private functions and we were somewhat annoyed that it was closed for these functions on 2 of the 4 evenings we were at sea and during the afternoon as well. On one evening, some board games were taken to the nearby piano bar for the passengers to play, but it was not a great place for board games as the tables were really small.

You might want to invest in a few small games (like Bananagrams) or travel-sized versions of games like Scrabble. My daughter won a travel-sized game at the Hasbro Game Show called "Boggle Slam" and it's a lot of fun too. We played these small games a lot on the Imagination cruise.

Just had to comment about the free/cheap deck of cards...way back when they used to hand them out as a perk, I think our steward left them in the room for us, it's been ages, so I'm not sure. We took a land vacation this summer, and decided to pack a few board games, and DH found a brand new pack of Carnival cards, still in the wrapper lol!
