Pre-Cruise Dinner / Activity Suggestions - FLL

My wife and I are headed to FLL in a few weeks for the Allure President's cruise. We will be arriving Saturday afternoon around 2:30 and I was curious if board has any suggestions for dinner.

We will be staying at the Hilton Marina hotel. I would love to go somewhere with a cool atmosphere and a nice view. Interesting people watching is also a plus. We will not have a car, but are willing to walk or take Uber.

I'm not as concerned about the price, but also don't need it to be ridiculous either.

Any other "must dos" while we are there Saturday?

Thanks

Coconuts has a nice water view. If you really want people watching head to Las Olas Blvd. There are dozens of places to dine and you'll see lots of people. You can sit outside on the boulevard. My favorite Johnny V just closed. :( Some other good options are Louie Bossi, Big City Tavern, YOLO, Mangos, Noodles Panini, or Asia Bay.

OP - since you are staying at the Hilton Marina, you can use the water taxi (which has a stop at the hotel) as transportation (http://www.watertaxi.com) to all these great recommendations. Get off at stop 7 (Bahia Mar) for a short walk to Coconuts or get off at stop 1 (Las Olas Riverfront) for the others. You can sightsee en route to/from dinner. The houses and yachts are incredible and beautiful day and night. After 5 pm, the water taxi has reduced price tickets.

My favorite, in additions to Sharon's excellent list are S3 in the Hilton.

Great sushi, amazing ocean view in front of a great fireplace!

Also, Steak 954 has the same amazing views and the best short rib I've ever eaten.
