Kayak in Saint John, Canada in Oct?

My wife and I are avid Kayakers and considering going on a kayak excursion on our upcoming cruise to Canada. We will be in Saint John in mid October. Will it be to cold to kayak, or is the water warm enough that if we are not wearing wetsuits that we will be okay in the (unlikely) event we dump? Other option is to walk the city. First time at the port. Thank you!

Hahahaha; that would be brisk! I'm from the maritimes and we don't swim at the beach in October. But hay; if you from the north and I mean the High North go for it. Our friends from the North West Territories say it's great [emoji6]❄️

Have a great day[emoji924][emoji4][emoji106]

Here in Maine, we say that as long as there aren't ice bergs in the water, the Quebecois will swim in it. Too cold for me except the height of summer.

Correct. The Bay of Fundy is always pretty cold with temperatures not changing much throughout the year.

Mid-October can be beautiful and warm (70s) or snowy and below freezing (but still beautiful as the cold temperatures make the leaves amazing!)
