hugger Posted September 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2016 We are fortunate to have a large amount of OBC on our upcoming cruise. We also have the SIP AND SAIL promo DH was wondering IF he can use the OBC to play in the casino? We have done this on HAL when we had the awesome OBC on another cruise. We were able to gamble in the casino and charge it to our room thus using Some of OBC in this manner.

joe d Posted September 13, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2016 There are several types of OBC's. Some of the OBC's that Princess has been issuing recently as a booking bonus "cannot be used in the casino" per Princess. An example of this is the current "3 For Free Sale". I am not sure if or how this will be enforced. I have a number of cruises booked with both types of OBC's. It is going be interesting to see what happens when I start using them. They can't enforce it. The on board account is just pluses and minuses. When you go to the casino the easiest way to turn OBC into casino cash is to go a slot machine, insert your card, set up an account and when it asks how much to put in, enter the amount you want. That amount will be charged to your folio. If you have OBC, the OBC will decrease and it won't matter where it came from. antsp Posted September 13, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 13, 2016 Exactly:D Could you then cash it out, even if it's non refundable
floridalover5623 Posted September 13, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 13, 2016 Could you then cash it out, even if it's non refundable Yes you can, no matter what type of credit they call it. The headaches of trying to keep track of what type of on board credit was used & which isn't used would be overwhelming.
rkmw Posted September 14, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 14, 2016 Could you then cash it out, even if it's non refundable better off spending a few $$$$ in the slots and then cash out because they dont like you using their machines as an ATM
