GreenValleyDogWalker Posted September 15, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2016 This must be the 6th or 7th NCL ship we've been on....wow we love the Sun! Very polite, friendly crew...never crowded anywhere..great (different) layout We always stay in aft suites...usually ones labeled "penthouse suites" Here, on the Sun we have another aft suite (same category as usual..can't remember the letters)...anyway it is cabin 9076...I think called a "family suite" absolutely awesome... No smells to report anywhere aft... Cold and rainy everywhere so far Any questions I can answer?
armwinder Posted September 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2016 We like the Sun, been on her 4 or 5 times. We are on the Pearl next week, we have our rain gear packed.
Rare rjm11 Posted September 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2016 9076 on the Sun is a wonderful room! And I'm the odd one out who LOVES cold rainy Alaska- I find it so cozy and happy. My stress relief "happy place" is raining 40-50 degree AK.... there's something so soothing about the rain, fog, and wilderness. Enjoy!
Cruise_More_Often Posted September 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 15, 2016 We loved, loved, loved 9076 on the Sun. It's been our very favorite cabin; the balcony is so great! We were in that cabin for an Alaska cruise, too. The Sun is our favorite NCL ship.

bkluyt Posted September 16, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2016 Are there many kids on board? We are taking a family cruise with 5 kids ages 9-13. Will they be alone?
Naomigruis Posted September 16, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 16, 2016 Are there many kids on board? We are taking a family cruise with 5 kids ages 9-13. Will they be alone? I just got off the Sun on Monday. There where very few kids on board, i would say less than 20 and the kids area is very small, we never actual saw any kids playing in them and only spotted the kids once on a "pirate" night looked to be more minders than kids. I did make the comment that my nephews would feel ripped off if we booked them not his ship compared to other kid friendly ships. Hope they have a good time anyway just be prepared for a small number sylva

jandjmom Posted September 26, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 26, 2016 9076 is the exact cabin we plan to sail on next year for our first cruise ever. Any pictures/video would be welcome! How private is the balcony? Can anyone see down into it from the Great Outdoors on 11? Is the view awesome? Is there much engine noise? How about when docking? How long does the tub take to fill up? Have you used the Butler service? Do you have every restaurant menu in your room? Can you really order from anywhere? Have you used the 'suite' restaurant for breakfast or lunch? Opinions? Advice? How about the concierge? Did you get prefer seating at shows? Restaurants? Other benefits? How much would you say is fair to tip con/butler for the week? Your answers will most likely not sway me from our choice - just wanting to justify the expense :)
