Latitudes and pre board

If your group is all together and ready to board - then ask the question - boarding a party of 6 before or after a sequence in boarding other folk

should not be a big issue and actually a convenience for the boarding staff.

But ask the question timely (and nicely) to take advantage of an acceptance of your plan !

Traveling with a group of 6. 2 of us are Latitude members and can pre board. If we all want to board together, do we stay with the 1st timers or do they come with us??

Latitude members have a priority check-in line, not a pre-board. And most times the Latitude checkin line is a lot longer than the regular line because of all the latitude members. So you might want to check in with them in the regular checkin line. But no they cannot use the latitude members checkin.

You checkin, get a group number which is the order in which you board when groups are called.

Is your term "pre-boarding" what happens for Suite cruisers and above? They are treated separately.

Gold and Platinum Latitude members get a priority check-in line. When that works really well they are given priority over others. But there are so many these days that priority isn't always quicker.

You are right. On some sailing, those with check-in & boarding privileges may sometimes exceed those without.

It depends on the port.

This year, we have sailed out of Port Canaveral, Seattle, Boston, and Miami.

Canaveral, Seattle, and Boston all boarded Latitudes Platinum and Gold (at least) members BEFORE they started calling boarding groups. When you check in, you are not given a boarding group number, you are told to wait to be called during pre-boarding.

Boston, they actually sat you in the waiting room based on your status. As you exited the check-in area, the port people sorted you into waiting areas based on the color of your cruise card.
