Hairdryer on Grand Princess

Can anyone tell me if the hairdryer is decent - I.e. Not a hose type in the bathroom or do I need to bring my own (runs 240v but dual voltage)?

Maybe one step above the hose in the bathroom, personal hair dryers aren't in the same league. If you hair is short and you don't do a lot of styling, the ship hair dryer is fine, just not very fast.

I would take my own if you have room. Pathetic at best! Take your own shampoo and conditioner too. Theirs is awful. The shower gel is ok.

I have to agree with the above posters. I always take my own hair dryer. I have thick hair and it would take forever to dry with the dryers on the Grand.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I was hoping to travel light(er) but can't manage without an efficient dryer so I will take my own, and shampoo and conditioner if it is that bad on board.

Just off the Grand. The hairdryer is wimpy and located at the desk by the phone, not in the bathroom.

My wife takes her own hair dryer all the time. She doesn't like the one on the ship.

Yep. But I've dried a small area on my shirt while it's still on after dabbing out a food spill. Works as good as any hair dryer.

Also good for drying bathing suits & socks. :D
