With Hurricane Matthew approaching, what about Divina? She's in dry dock in the Bahamas?

I know most ships head out to sea in the event of a hurricane, but Divina is in DRY dock. Wonder what they do?

Most models put the track going east of the Bahamas, but not by a great amount, the shipyard is on the western most tip of the islands so I hope she survives

Very interesting Cruisergal. I wonder how much of their work they finished and if they'll go back and get it done (and maybe cancelling next week's cruise) or if they'll just wait till the next one.

Thanks for letting us all know.:)

I don't see a problem. I was in Miami preparing to depart when a Hurricane came right over Miami. We stayed tied to the pier overnight with two huge tugs pushing us against the pier. Left in the morning in calm seas. No worries :D:D

Really? When was this? It was a hurricane?

I'm just asking because I think it's been years since a hurricane has hit Miami and I've never heard of them staying in port.

It took me a little time to find it but.....It was Hurricane Irene, October 15, 1999. We were on Carnival Ecstasy in Miami. Had a balcony (U114). Lucky because back then there were very few balconies.

You think she'll stay there?

Doubtful, POM is expensive; although I suppose anything Is Possible w Msc. My guess is a short stop in port to pick up the things needed to keep renovations moving along while at sea. The Timing of Matthew has to be challenging.
