Rare vacationlover_mn Posted October 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2016 (edited) I have booked a beach tour with Amigo tours, departing at 9am, with them wanting us to show up to our meeting point at the pier 15 minutes early. However, I see that my ship (Harmony) is supposed to arrive at St Maarten at 8am... Is there any risk of us missing our tour? Edited to add: We will be there on Feb 22, 2017 Edited October 10, 2016 by vacationlover_mn
SnorkelAway Posted October 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2016 No. Not unless ship is late arriving or you don't wake up on time.
Rare crewsweeper Posted October 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 10, 2016 And if the ship is late arriving, they will wait. In that case be ready to walk off the ship as soon as the gangway opens for debarking.
gtaylor Posted October 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2016 I wouldn't feel so comfortable that they will wait unless you hear that directly from Amigo. I think it is cutting it close, as the Harmony of the Seas arrives at 7:00, then you along with four other ships are scheduled to arrive at 8:00. There is bound to be some delay from jockeying, positioning, actual docking of the ships, and who knows where you will fall in the arrivals dance? We've never had much of a delay disembarking St. Maarten soon after arrival, but I'd check with Amigo just to make sure. gary
SnorkelAway Posted October 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2016 Gary - assume you checked port info - OP is on Harmony so definitely should be no problem.
Rare vacationlover_mn Posted October 11, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted October 11, 2016 I contacted Amigo tours, and they got back to me promptly. They will wait for us :) Yay!
Herfnerd Posted October 12, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 12, 2016 They should have already asked, but make sure you let them know what ship you are on - that way they'll know if you are late due to the ship arriving late

Just noticed the stated arrival time of 8 am and ran from there. Thanks for the reality check. gary p.s. Good to see that he checked with Amigo. Always a good idea.
