Rjh8842 Posted October 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2016 I have been hearing a lot of great reviews about windjammers. Maybe we will eat there one night. We are planning on bringing a bottle of wine to dinner every night. Can the servers at windjammers take care of uncorking?
setsail Posted October 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2016 (edited) Yes. And, if you have a bottle left over from the mdr, they will retrieve that for you Edited October 21, 2016 by setsail
GTO-Girl Posted October 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 21, 2016 The Windjammer is a casual buffet which means you serve yourself, there are no assigned waiters. There will be staff there they clear the tables and sometimes will offer to get your drinks.....so you MAY get one of them to uncork your wine....but I have never seen this happen. Maybe you should eat your evening meals in the dining room where this service is available.

Langley Cruisers Posted October 21, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 21, 2016 Or open it yourself in-cabin and bring it with you. You can bring your own corkscrew or your cabin steward can give you one.

How are you bringing a bottle to dinner every night? Do you mean you will be ordering your bottle of wine in the MDR each night, or do you mean you've bought your bottle of wine at a bar( pre dinner drink) and bringing that bottle to the MDR every night. You may drink your brought on wine and any purchased wine anywhere you wish.
Rjh8842 Posted October 21, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted October 21, 2016 We are doing a 4 night cruise and have two rooms. Only 2 adults in our party drink on occasion so they can have a bottle every night.

Not Fair!! :o

We tried WJ 2 times last month , as said a little harder to find a server but not a big problem, they will open your wine, or you can order wine by bottle or glass, the food in there was not good on our cruise
