Folding seat/stool -are these allowed?

Sure! There are also canes that have a seat...when folded, they look and work like a cane, but when unfolded, there is a seat with legs...can be handy if frequent sitting is needed. Lightweight. Most drugstore have them.

The "bag chairs" are sort of heavy for lugging around, unless you're going to set up camp in one particular spot!

Google "Folding cane seat"...Staples carries them, too...as do sporting stores!

I think the cane with the folding seat is the better bet. Easier to use and lightweight. Those chairs with the aluminum legs often end up collapsing well below their weight limits. They are more cumbersome than the cane with the folding seat.

Another option is the rollater - like a walker with a seat on it. These are very useful for elderly people. My Mom got away with one of those for quite a while before she had to give in and use the wheelchair full time.
