Meamat Posted October 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Hi all - I gather a lot of people store their suitcases (full or otherwise) under the bed on their cruise. Has anyone measured the underbed area of Carnival spirit? I have a particularly large suitcase I wanted to use for snorkeling gear but would hate to bring it and find that it's a cm too deep to fit under the bed! Thanks! lagoon380 Posted October 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2016 What size is the suit case? I can compare it to ours that fit under the bed.
GUT2407 Posted October 25, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Don't have measurements but have put some big one's under.
Russell21 Posted October 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Ours are 31cm thick and they fit under.
Meamat Posted October 25, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Thanks! The depth of the bag is 30cm, so I'd be hoping for 30cm/12 inches clearance under the bed.
lagoon380 Posted October 25, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 25, 2016 I think you will be fine with that.
Discon Posted October 25, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Am on the spirit at the moment and although i dont have a measuring device. The A4 funtimes fits cleanly standing up with approx 5-6 cms of further clearance. Perfect for us to stowaway and stay on board! Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted October 25, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 25, 2016 If it's too big to fit under when it's closed just open it out and put it in that way.
Meamat Posted October 25, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted October 25, 2016 That's excellent, thanks for all your help! I happen to have a couple of Fun Times that a friend brought over for me, so I even have a consistent unit of measurement :-D Thank you - it all looks like it will work fine. And that will make my planning a lot easier!
