normr Posted October 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2016 We have been so used to getting free laundry and dry cleaning when we sail in a Neptune Suite on HAL, we are going to miss it, what choices are there? Are there on board washers and dryers? Are there any deals for laundry or dry cleaning?

Usually there is a mid week bag of laundry deal for wash/fold items.

Are there on board washers and dryers? Are there any deals for laundry or dry cleaning? The last time we did laundry on one of RC ships, it cost us $25 for a very small bag. You have to learn how to stuff it in that small bag that they provided to you. :) We mainly stuffed T-shirts, underwear, socks, and anything that's cotton into that small bag. See site below for list of prices they charge for dry clean, etc... http://www.royalcaribbean.com/customersupport/faq/details.do?pagename=frequently_asked_questions&faqId=287&faqSubjectId=
JordanLovesCruisin Posted October 31, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2016 It was a bummer for sure. It was $2.98 per shirt I believe. Not terrible, but still Sent from my iPhone using Forums
DonnaK Posted October 31, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 31, 2016 According to your posting history, you live in Fort Lauderdale and will be doing a weeklong sailing on Allure. Since you do not have to worry about flying and airline luggage fees, wouldn't it be easier and more cost-efficient to bring enough outfits for the week so you do not have to do laundry onboard? You could even iron everything ahead of time, and if you pack it carefully, it will arrive unwrinkled, especially since it will be in your luggage for a short time. Are there on board washers and dryers? Are there any deals for laundry or dry cleaning? We used RCCL laundry on last cruise similar to Hal, but it was about 25 for the bag. But in general much prefer suite perks on RCCL over Neptune perks on Hal, free drinks in concierge , reserved seating for shows, breakfast is similar, normally in chops . Ocean Dancer Posted November 7, 2016 #10 Share Posted November 7, 2016 See the attached laundry price list. Thanks, Bob. Handwashed 2 of DH's "cool" cruise shirts and hung to dry. I haven't seen shirts this wrinkled since I was a kid. The price is great for me not ironing!
jkmmah Posted January 13, 2018 #11 Share Posted January 13, 2018 Thanks. We have a Princess cruise booked next, so that must've been where I read about self-service laundry. :( Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Sun Lover Posted January 13, 2018 #12 Share Posted January 13, 2018 I read something a while ago about using the laundry service where you could cram everything into a small bag for one set price (in which case it gets washed with everyone else's laundry, I think) or you could have your own bag with just your items at a per item price. Is this correct?

Any idea if those items have to be adult sized? We've never used the wash and fold bag before, but hoping to take advantage of it next cruise when we'll be travelling with 9 month old DD. We'll obviously be able to cram a lot more of her clothes in the bag than our own, so not sure whether this would be allowed!

SamFritz Posted January 13, 2018 #16 Share Posted January 13, 2018 Last summer, on Celebrity, we did the wash and fold bag. Two days later we got some of our laundry back, but had other people’s laundry mixed in with it. It took until the last do of the cruise for them to locate all of my stuff. SbbquilterUT Posted January 13, 2018 #18 Share Posted January 13, 2018 We often travel with carry on only so use the Wash and Fold - pj, socks, tees, with no issues. Roll the clothes tightly and we can fit 3 days worth of dirty in the bag.
