Changing booking from TA back to RCI.

Has anyone done this and how do you go about it?

As your booking, or contract actually, is with the TA, you need to get their permission to do it.

Are you trying to take the commission off your TA?

The cruise line will still charge the same as your TA , except the commission goes into their coffers.

I'm a TA and don't believe this can be done.

 

It can be transferred from the cruise line to an agency, but don't believe it can be done the opposite way.

I have done it. My TA contacted RCI who gave her a form Whicj I had to sign and then my booking was transferred. I will look back through my emails to see if I can find the exact name of the form.

It can, but obviously as the TA loses money, it's not a popular or common thing, or straightforward to do.

It can be done. You need the agent to agree to it. Or if it's something serious you could explain the situation to the cruise line.

Can be done, I have done it, not with RCI but Princess, same process.

The TA needs to transfer the booking in writing to the cruise line.

 

Obviously there is good reason you wish to transfer the booking, if your TA isnt looking after you, stand your ground and get it transferred if that is your preference.
