Hospital close to Baltimore port

If someone is going to be taken by ambulance from port of Baltimore when the cruise ship arrives, do you know which hospital it would be or could it be any number of hospitals? Thank you.

I dont know the answer to your question, but I hope you are asking hypothetically and not because you know someone who needs emergency care.

Johns Hopkins....it's a premiere hospital! About 15 mins. away.

John Hopkins is the closest.. or Mercy but I'd bet on JH.

Shock trauma is at the University of Maryland hospital. It is not far from the port, either.

Actually Hopkins bay view is right on the other side of the 95 tunnel

The one over the Hanover Street bridge is Harbor Hosp. That's probably the closest.

Harbor Hospital 2 miles

U. Maryland Hospital 3 miles ( Shock Trauma located here)

Hopkins Hospital 5 miles (downtown)

Hopkins Bayview 7 miles

 

 

Hopkins and Maryland Med. Center are nationally ranked

Great post. I might add that which hospital a patient would go to would be based on the kind of care/treatment needed.

It would be Harbor Hospital for most types of emergency.If you are at cruise port.

Shock Trauma at the University of Maryland Medical Center for specific types of emergencies.

Burn patients would be sent to Hopkins Bayview

Infant/children would be sent to Hopkins Children's Hospital.

Major limb injuries would be sent to Union Memorial.

University of Maryland or Johns Hopkins. Both are excellent hospitals. Don't worry.

would not be Harbor Hospital as this is a smaller community hospital. If something happened you would go to Hopkins or University of Maryland.

Emergency protocol dictates that the patient must be transported to the closest hospital except when they are in a hospital code situation or requires primary adult resource center attention i.e. Shock trauma
