Depends on your cruise date... we have found the upcoming Thanksgiving Cruise, most of the specialty dinning around the Holidays are no longer available, because they are booked. I think similar issues around Christmas and other holiday cruises.

Dad and I did Chop's and Giovanni's.

 

Our opinion was that neither was worth spending the extra money on and we skipped our third meal (we bought the three pack) to dine in the dining room with our tablemates.

We liked Giovanni's more than Chops. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Excellent food and service. The Giovanni's on Serenade seemed smaller than other ships. Our favorite!

We just got off Serenade last Friday (11/11). Our meal at Giovanni's was just OK, not great at all, although we have had really stellar meals at Giovanni's on other ships. Chops on Serenade was very good...probably the best meal we had onboard. Just letting you know our experience. Enjoy your cruise! :D

We did chops twice and once at Giovanni's on the Vision in September and have booked the same on the Serenade, for me chops is probably the best steak I have had or even likely to have:D
