oceanbums Posted November 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Does the Serenity Area on the Miracle have a small bar so we don't have to leave the area to get a drink? Has anyone had trouble finding empty chairs or is it usually to crowded? We'll be cruising in January of 2018. thanks.
LilDesertGirl Posted November 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2016 It's crowded mid day. Yes they have a bar and cocktail servers. Lillian ⚓️[emoji568]
SadieN Posted November 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2016 How crowded depends on the weather and time of day. There's a good size bar with, at least two bartenders and 3-4 waiters.
HawkIVette Posted November 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Yes, Miracle Serenity is the back of the ship on Lido. Bar is under the overhang of the 10th deck.
louanne93 Posted November 17, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2016 We went in August and it was crowded but we always found a lounger. We tend to go early though. There were a lot of chair hogs. Lol!
oceanbums Posted November 17, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Thanks for the replies; nice to hear there is a bar service and I guess we'll get there early to get a lounger.
BambiD Posted November 23, 2016 #7 Share Posted November 23, 2016 Would this be the best area for adults to sit, relax, drink and watch the ocean float by all day? THAT's what I am looking for. I don't need the big party - all the attention seeking - just hoping for a relatively calm place to sit and float :)

I've never had trouble finding a chair and the view is amazing.
cruizergal70 Posted November 23, 2016 #9 Share Posted November 23, 2016 Is it as crowded during the 15 day Hawaii cruise? I hear the longer cruises tend to have a much older crowd.

It was never crowded when I went last year. I could always find a spot to sit. Leaving again on Sat on the same cruise. YAY!:D
crusinpsychRN Posted November 25, 2016 #11 Share Posted November 25, 2016 Does the bar also serve the boxed sandwiches? Any umbrellas like on Fantasy class?
Sillyjilly Posted November 25, 2016 #12 Share Posted November 25, 2016 Does the bar also serve the boxed sandwiches? Any umbrellas like on Fantasy class? No, but just inside are sandwiches made to order. No umbrellas, but they have covered hammocks and clamshells. Also a covered seating area. goober87 Posted December 5, 2016 #13 Share Posted December 5, 2016 It is a nice area. My complaint is that often people bring their own speakers/soundbars, so the scene may not be a serene as advertised. I am not sure why people think its okay to amplify their music, thinking everyone else wants to hear it. Drives me nuts. The point of the Serenity deck is to get away from the noise of the rest of the boat. If I want loud music, I'll go watch the hairy chest contest. Micahs Grandad Posted December 5, 2016 #14 Share Posted December 5, 2016 Several times on the Hawaii run they had people singing and playing instruments. Sort of took away the serenity.

Actually, two years ago on the Miracle, I was sitting out there reading one afternoon and the DJ starting bringing his equipment out there. I was really puzzled and watched him set it up and started the Hip Hop music. I thought that was what the Lido pool was for. At the time, I was thinking this is supposed to be a serene area, hence the name Serenity, but apparently not. I got up and went elsewhere to read. Too bad, it was really nice back there. tonit964 Posted December 7, 2016 #22 Share Posted December 7, 2016 Wish they would have this on other classes of ships than Spirit class I agree and I think most passenger's don't even know it's there. What's nice is there are windows for natural light so you don't feel closed in.
